Defining a Model for Integrating Indoor and Outdoor Network Data to Support Seamless Navigation Applications

Spaces are continuous realms where human beings freely navigate, such as from indoor to outdoor and optionally another space. However, currently available data models represent space for navigation do not entirely reflect this continuity of freedom movement. Data conversion or complications in implementation hinder current approaches link with due the variety present models. Furthermore, representation indoor–outdoor connection becomes oversimplified during integration process. Consequently, location-based applications based on these datasets limited conveying mobility within spaces aiding activity. This paper defines a framework integrating navigable enable seamless navigation. model enables between networks. We describe connections networks through spatial relationships, which can be generalized various cases transitional spaces. Using sample datasets, we demonstrate framework’s potential provide route analysis experiment.
